Keywords: A-type granites; geochemistry; intraplate tectonics; geochronology; supercontinents Here we report the occurrence of A-type granites with geochemical features indicating intraplate setting from the Yenisey Ridge. Zircon U–Pb analyses coupled with in situ U–Th–Pb geochronology of monazite constrain timing of emplacement of the rift–related granitoids and suggest two consequential breakup events at 1380 Ma and 800–720 Ma. These episodes of regional crustal evolution are correlated with the breakup ages of the Precambrian supercontinents Nuna and Rodinia supercontinents and supports the spatial proximity of Siberia and North Atlantic cratons (Laurentia and Baltica) over the long period 1.38–0.72 Ga.
