The electrophysical study of shungite rocks, differing in textural and structural characteristics, was carried out. Electrical conductivity was found to depend on microstructure and to vary over a certain range for each sample: minimum values are connected with rock brecciation and maximum values correspond to the more homogeneous zones and are due to the distribution and conductivity of carbon. The "coefficient of conductivity anisotropy", which shows quantitatively the textural and structural anisotropy of samples and is equal to the maximum to minimum electrical conductivity ratio, is proposed.
